NOTICE OF HEARING

(Rev. Code, Sec. 3107.11)

IN THE COURT OF

COMMON PLEAS,

PROBATE DIVISION,

MAHONING COUNTY, OHIO

IN THE MATTER OF

THE ADOPTION OF:

HAMONY RAE THOMPSON

Case No. 2022 AD 15

Ashley Allman, whose last known address is 18426 Fifth Street, Beloit, Ohio 44609, is hereby notified that on the 15th day of April 2022, Edwin R. Thompson and Bobbi J. Thompson filed in Case Number 2022 AD 15, in this Court, a Petition to adopt Harmony Lynn Nicole Allman, born on the 29th day of October 2013, and change her name to Harmony Rae Thompson.

The petition contains the allegations that Ashley Allman, natural mother of said child, has failed without justifiable cause to communicate with the minor or to provide for the maintenance and support of the minor as required by law or judicial decree for a period of at least one year immediately preceding the filing of adoption petition, the placement of the minor in the home of the petitioner(s).

The petition will be set for hearing before this Court at Youngstown, Ohio, on the 3rd day of August 2022, at 11:00 A.M. The Court is located at 1st Floor, Mahoning County Courthouse, Probate Court, 120 Market Street, Youngstown, Ohio, 44503.

A final Decree of Adoption, if granted, will relieve you of all parental rights and responsibilities, including the right to contact the minor, and, except with respect to a spouse of the adoption petitioner and relatives of that spouse, terminate all legal relationships between the minor and you, and the minor's other relatives, so that the minor thereafter is a stranger to you and the minor's former relatives for all purposes. If you wish to contest the adoption, you must file an objection to the petition within fourteen days after proof of service of notice of the filing of the petition and of the time and place of hearing is given to you. If you wish to contest the adoption, you must also appear at the hearing. A final Decree of Adoption may be entered if you fail to file an objection to the adoption petition or appear at the hearing.
